You, along with a team of other Security Officers, will be responsible for keeping the guests and employees of the hotel safe on a daily basis.Hourly Wage: $18.00 to $22.00Benefits we provide:Employee discounts on thousands of hotelsEnjoy a complimentary meal in the associate cafeteria during your shiftFree Parking1st of the month following 30 days of service:Full benefits package to our full-time employees, including health, dental, vision, short & long term disability, auto insurance, and so much more!Employer paid Accident insurance and HSA contribution401(k) Retirement PlanEmployee Assistance ProgramPaid Sick Time (MN Earned Sick and Safe Time)90 Days:Paid Vacation and Sick Time8 Paid HolidaysPaid Bereavement1 Year:Paid Floating HolidaysKey Responsibilities:Creates guest satisfaction and exceeds expectations by providing the service expectations and standards:Provides a safe and secure environment in the hotel by ensuring proper security methods and procedures are carried out consistentlyEnsures that all employees follow safety rules and proceduresTakes corrective action where required to improve safety of work areasImproves safety and security at hotel by communicating hazards with department heads and taking appropriate corrective actionsCompletes daily security log, including pertinent information from the shiftMonitor all activity and diligently monitor building video surveillanceInspects hotel regularly to observe potential security or safety related problems and takes necessary actions to alleviate themKeeps hotel management promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significanceUnderstand written procedures for handling any emergency that would require partial or complete evacuation of the hotel such as fire, severe injuries, power failure, or bomb threatsResponds to all emergency situations immediatelyTakes appropriate action to safeguard guests, employees and the hotelProcesses all written reports involving security related incidents and customer or employee accidentsHandles complaints, investigates, and thoroughly reports on: customer or employee injuries, thefts, assaults, lost property, car accidents, loud parties, vandalism, and other guest complaints as necessaryReviews accident investigations to ensure accurate and complete reportingEnsures that all hotel entrances and exits are locked and unlocked per hotel policyMaintains hotel key management procedures and ensures that all keys are accountable and only authorized persons have access to keysCloses down the different outlets each night as per post ordersEnsures that all meeting rooms and exhibit rooms are secured to keep unauthorized persons out of the area and prevent theftMaintains responsibility for handling any emergency that would require partial or complete evacuation of the hotel such as fire, severe injuries, power failure, or bomb threatsLogs and delivers all in-house packages and monitors out going deliveriesChecks in and out all vendors to the hotelMeets with leaders on a regular basisCreates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the Radisson experience through performance that demonstrates the standards of genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations:Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility, and uses teamwork when providing guest serviceListens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution, and follows through when resolving guest problemsProvides Yes I Can! genuine hospitality and teamwork on an ongoing basisAssumes the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses their best judgment as to when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest SatisfactionPerforms other duties required to provide the service brand behavior and genuine hospitalityPerforms other duties as required by Management to provide 100% Guest Satisfaction and genuine hospitality to our GuestRequirements/Skills:Associates/ Bachelors Degree or equivalent preferred (additional training [e.g. military, law enforcement] and education is highly desirable)Ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year security experienceExperience with MS Office applications and Outlook requiredPrevious work experience should include working in a high-volume environment, as well as, customer-service oriented atmosphereDemonstrates strong verbal and interpersonal skillsWorks well independently or as part of a teamStrong attention to detailCommitment to exceptional guest serviceAdhere to the policies and procedures of the hotelWilling to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidaysPhysical Demands:Perform repetitive hand and arm movementsAbility to lift, pull, push up to 25 poundsAbility to squat, bend, kneel and twistAbility to stand for long periods of timeAbility to see, hear, speak, read and write legiblyAbility to reach with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawlingFrequent sitting, standing and walking, which may be required for long periods of time up to 8 hoursDuties may involve climbing stair and walking inclines or uneven terrainOther Information: The hotel business functions seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
