, 40 , evening shift , 1230pm to 9pm , rotating weekends and holidays Posted 09/23/2026 Salary: $19.05 - $26.52 hourly Holyoke Medical Center Laboratory has an exciting entry level position available for applicantsinterested in diagnostic medicine.The applicant must share a passion for our lab mission statement,which is working collaboratively to ensure quality results for every patient, every time. The jobresponsibilities are toassist laboratory staff, clinical staff and patients in diverse roles within theclinical laboratory. The Laboratory Assistant will register and receive specimens, enter specimendata into a software system, prepare samples for further laboratory analysis, performCOVID-19 /Flu/Strep molecular testing, transport specimens to other labs and clinical departments.Responsibilities include: customer service, training, answering phones, entering precise andaccurate data, adherence to laboratory regulations and performance of testing according to standardoperating success. REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma and previous work experience required.Bachelor’s degree in Biology,Microbiology or Health Science preferred. Previousexperience in a healthcare setting or medical laboratory experience is strongly preferred. Applicants must have: A passion for caring for a community through quality work in a stand-alone hospital lab. A drive for learning new practices to be able to adapt to our rapidly growing test menu.
