Temporary Part-Time Research Nurse

About the Opportunity In the Department of Public Health and Health Sciences, we are looking for temporary part‑time research nurses to join a study team examining risk factors for alcohol misuse among young adults. Key Responsibilities Screening appointments: conduct medical history interviews; perform ECGs; handle phlebotomy/blood sample collection; evaluate vital signs (pulse, blood pressure, temperature, respirations, height, weight, and BMI); determine study eligibility. IV administration sessions: prepare IV lines and pumps; prepare participants and connect them to the IV; monitor IV pump functioning and assist with errors; attend to participant well‑being during and after the infusion; administer IVs of both ethanol and saline. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) license. Experience with phlebotomy. Experience working with IVs. Schedule & Commitment Week‑to‑week per diem hours available. Schedule up to 20 hours per week, accommodating parent schedules or semi‑retirement; position may be renewed beyond 6 months pending grant funds. Pay Rate $60/hour.
