Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract opportunity near Chicago, IL is designed for passionate Speech-Language Pathologists seeking to support young learners in an engaging and collaborative environment. The position runs from August 2026 to June 2027, with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule averaging 35 hours per week.

In this role, you’ll work with a manageable caseload of 35 elementary students, providing evaluation, intervention, and consultative services tailored to each child’s unique needs. Whether you’re CCC-certified or completing your CFY, your expertise will help students achieve their educational and communication milestones.

Qualifications:

• Active Illinois SLP License required
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligibility
• School-based SLP experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
• Strong collaboration and organizational skills
• Commitment to evidence-based practice
• Experience with individualized education programs (IEPs) is a plus

What You’ll Do:

• Deliver therapy sessions to elementary students individually and in small groups
• Conduct assessments and interpret results for eligibility and ongoing progress monitoring
• Develop and implement IEPs in conjunction with educators and families
• Maintain thorough documentation and manage case files
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to promote student growth
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary discussions
