Overview Business Development Manager - Industrial and Roofing - Nebraska Job Category: Outside Sales • Full-Time • Hybrid Omaha, NE 68127, USA Pay range: $50,000 USD to $85,000 USD. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons. Travel Required: Yes Region: Nebraska and Iowa – Omaha, NE or Des Moines, IA will be the home base. This is not a remote position. Travel is required. Position reports to: National Industrial Business Development Manager. Company Tools: Company Vehicle, Laptop & Cell Phone This position is eligible for a bonus program. Responsibilities Research the latest in the business industry and create new opportunities to expand business. Maintain and share professional knowledge through education, networking, events, and presentations. Drive market segment growth by proactively analyzing market conditions to achieve an increase in customers. Collaborate with the executive and sales team to ensure requirements are met, such as sales numbers and profit goals. Provide input to the corporate strategic planning process through market intelligence and analysis of the revenue/margin potential of new products. Provide product recommendations, application instructions, and quote competitive pricing on coatings for the industrial and roofing fields. Focus on growing sales with existing commercial/manufacturing/business accounts through relationship-based sales techniques. Regularly communicate with Regional Sales Management regarding the status and progress of accounts. Actively establish and build strong relationships with external and internal partners. Achieve goals that support the companys strategic plan. Perform other related tasks and special projects as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong understanding of company products as well as business position and competition to keep business competitive. Excellent communication skills to engage with others, solid negotiating, and problem-solving skills. Must be able to apply for NACE CIP LV 1 certification in the future, if not already achieved. Highly organized with the ability to manage a multitude of projects while meeting deadlines. Track record of success and over-achievement of sales/growth targets in previous positions. Strong customer relationship management and customer retention skills. Ability to excel at product knowledge, presentation skills, and building client relationships. Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Commitment to ethical behavior and willingness to adhere to company policies. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate and close deals. Able to pass a background & MVR check. Must have a valid drivers license and a clean driving record. Territory management experience is a plus. Travel Yes. Travel within territory and as needed. Education Required: High School or better. Preferred: Some college or better.
