Highlighted Duties: Lead all accounting and financial operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll oversight, month-end and year-end close, and financial reporting. Develop and maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance. Prepare timely financial statements and reports for executive leadership, the Board Finance Committee, grantors, and funding agencies. Partner with the Executive Director to develop annual budgets, long-range financial plans, and organizational forecasts. Monitor cash flow, investments, and financial performance while providing strategic recommendations to leadership. Oversee nonprofit fund accounting, grant accounting, grant billing, compliance reporting, and financial reporting requirements. Coordinate annual audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting while ensuring compliance. Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team while promoting continuous improvement and operational excellence. Build strong relationships with grantors, auditors, vendors, and financial partners. Serve as a trusted member of the senior leadership team, helping guide the organization's continued financial strength and future growth. Highlighted Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. CPA or MBA preferred. Five or more years of progressive accounting leadership experience. Nonprofit accounting experience preferred. Experience with grant accounting, fund accounting, and grant compliance strongly preferred. Experience preparing budgets, forecasts, financial statements, and board-level reporting. Knowledge of nonprofit audits and regulatory compliance. Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and organizational skills. A collaborative leadership style and genuine passion for supporting an organization that changes lives.
