Key Responsibilities Bid Preparation: Lead the preparation of complete and accurate project bids, ensuring estimates are competitive and profitable. Plan & Specification Review: Review construction drawings, specifications, topographic plans, and geotechnical reports to understand project scope and identify potential issues. Quantity Take-Offs & Earthwork: Use Agtek software for quantity take-offs, site modelling, and earthwork/dirt-moving analysis. Subcontractor & Vendor Pricing: Identify, communicate with, and negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive costs. Risk Analysis: Identify potential project risks during the estimating process and develop appropriate contingencies and cost-effective solutions. Cost Database Management: Maintain and update pricing schedules and cost databases based on current market conditions. Client Communication: Communicate professionally with prospective and existing clients and help develop relationships that generate future business opportunities. Team Collaboration : Work closely with Project Managers and field teams to ensure a smooth transition from the awarded bid to project execution. Deadline Management: Manage multiple estimates and bid deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Required Qualifications Agtek experience is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to read and interpret civil engineering plans, construction drawings, topographic maps, and geotechnical reports. Strong understanding of construction quantities, pricing, and project costs. Excellent negotiation, analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
