If this is the culture and work environment you are seeking, then EBAD is the place for you!Job DescriptionEBAD is currently seeking an experienced Inspector to join our Receiving Inspection team in Simsbury, CT.Responsibilities:This position supports multiple teams in Simsbury. The candidate will be responsible for providing effective verification of products and certification packages against requirements and the communication of findings associated with the verification.Perform inspection of components and assemblies as part of receiving inspectionInspect product using hand held gages, MicroHeight, and Optical Comparator.Maintain accurate, neat and complete inspection recordsKeep work area organized and clean and follow all established safety guidelinesWork within a team structure to achieve company and department goalsPerform additional duties related to specific area assignments when requestedThis position has the possibility for EBAD to teach the inspector on the operation and programming of a Hexagon CMM.Requirements:The successful candidate must have graduated from High School or equivalent G.E.D. and 5+ years of experience with inspection of mechanical components in an aerospace or defense related company.Capable of utilizing all standard inspection tools and equipment including calipers, micrometers, drop indicators, and optical systemsMust be familiar with AS9000/AS9100 quality system proceduresMust be able to read and interpret Geometric Dimension and Tolerance (GD&T)Must be able to read and understand military specifications and industry standardsMust be able to read and understand EnglishMust be able to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of management and engineering staffA high level of attention to detail is a mustMust have basic PC fundamentals, knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential.Desired Skills:Significant experience working directly with internal/external customers and suppliers.Physical Demands:Ability to lift 20 poundsEnsign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
