Supply Chain Operations Associate

Supply Chain Operations Associate – 2nd Shift (Bay City, MI) Annual Salary: $50,000.00 per year Schedule: Monday – Friday, 2:00p.m. – 10:30p.m. Key Responsibilities Follow up on all purchased parts to ensure on‑time delivery and support production requirements. Serve as the main point of contact for all suppliers. Provide direction to suppliers regarding ship schedule requirements and containment plans when behind schedule. Make decisions on the timing of supplier ship schedules, allowing push, pull ahead, and expediting of material as needed. Track critical parts and develop/execute containment plans to prevent production interruptions. Coordinate alternative material sources and spot buys for GM Plants. Independently monitor, set up, and cancel truck loads for material pick‑up to support scheduling variations. Ensure proper material coverage at the lowest possible cost for the customer. Review part buffers to confirm they meet build requirements (Metal Centers and Powertrain). Document and manage S & AV code exceptions and alarm interval maintenance in Assembly Plants. Maintain accurate inventory levels in MGO, making adjustments and posting inventory adjustments based on investigation and analysis. Investigate and process record adjustment requests from the previous shift. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor’s Degree preferred). One year or more of administrative experience (preferred). One year or more of relevant experience (preferred). Intermediate knowledge of MGO (GM’s MRP system) (preferred). Intermediate knowledge of transportation management (preferred). Intermediate knowledge of material flow relating to manufacturing processes (preferred). Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
