Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide specialized care within a Medical Surgical unit. The role involves delivering safe, effective nursing care to adult patients, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and perform clinical procedures such as NG tube placement and Foley catheterization.
• Monitor patient responses, document findings accurately in Meditech system, and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, post-discharge care, and health promotion.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, standards, and safety regulations.
• Supervise and support junior nursing staff as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Valid TX RN license; active and unrestricted.
• Minimum of 2 years recent hospital experience in a Med/Surg setting.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Proficiency in Meditech documentation system preferred.
• Demonstrated competence in patient care activities and clinical procedures.
• Ability to adhere to dress code and professional appearance standards.
