Job Details Requisition #: 655795 Location: Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, Baltimore, MD 21224 Category: Nursing Schedule: Night Shift Employment Type: Full Time Position Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) will be on the Carol Ball Medicine Unit (CBMU). CBMU cares for medical/surgical, geriatrics, and dementia patients. The unit is innovative, collaborative, and is a pilot site for quality improvement programs. The RN is responsible for independently planning, coordinating, and directing activities essential to providing quality nursing care for assigned patients; coordinating the medical plan provided by support service departments; implementing nursing interventions and evaluating results; and demonstrating developing leadership qualities. Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and direct care activities for assigned patients. Coordinate medical plans with support service departments. Identify and implement nursing interventions and evaluate results. Demonstrate leadership and support unit quality improvement programs. Schedule Day/Night Rotation or Straight Nights. Qualifications and Education RN license in Maryland or a compact state. CPR certification (AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network). Associate Degree in Nursing (required enrollment in a BSN Program within one year of hire and completion within five years).
