Private Client Associate Attorney – Philadelphia

Direct Counsel is seeking a seasoned Associate Attorney to join a growing Private Client practice in Philadelphia. This opportunity focuses on sophisticated estate planning, estate and trust administration, and transfer tax matters for high-net-worth individuals, families, fiduciaries, and closely held businesses.

The attorney will collaborate with attorneys across offices and contribute to a team-oriented practice focused on exceptional client service.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in estate planning, preferably with an emphasis on transfer tax planning for high-net-worth individuals

• Experience with trust and estate administration, including probate proceedings, trust administration, and gift and estate tax returns

• Ability to produce high-quality work with minimal supervision

• Strong academic credentials

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• J.D. from an accredited law school

• Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar, or eligibility to waive into the Pennsylvania Bar promptly after hire

Preferred Qualifications

• LL.M. in Taxation

• Admission to the New York or New Jersey Bar and in good standing, in addition to Pennsylvania

Compensation & Work Arrangement

Attorneys are expected to work from the office three days per week , balancing in-person collaboration and client service with workplace flexibility.
