Master Tool and Die Maker

Duties Operate lathe, milling machines, drills, grinders, and miscellaneous die and mold equipment. Build or modify prototypes, production molds, dies, and tooling. Certify work against blueprints. Solder, braz, and weld materials. Repair damaged or worn tooling such as molds and punch/notch die sets. Troubleshoot tooling in the production process. Wire electrical components. Layout, cut, and assemble extrusion dies or perform necessary repairs. Operate miscellaneous equipment as instructed. Perform quality checks or inspections, including charting. Comply with all safety rules and procedures. Perform necessary clean‑up. DM Machine Knowledge Demonstrate ability to independently troubleshoot and solve machine problems. Maintain machine by changing filters, belts, guides, and coolant as needed. Keep machine clean and use advanced features (e.g., canned cycles, mirror images). Write small programs to cut keyways, holes, cylindrical and rectangular pockets, and drill/tap holes. Load and use CNC software for vertical milling centers (Haas and Mazak). General Information Must have completed a four‑year apprenticeship program and/or a two‑year college technical degree and/or ten years in the trade. Follows supervisor instructions, works safely, and is responsible for all duties performed. Understands all aspects of machinery, equipment, and tools to use them efficiently. #J-18808-Ljbffr
