This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and families throughout the school day.The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, demonstrates professionalism, and is responsive to the needs of a fast-paced school environment.Key ResponsibilitiesFacility Cleaning & MaintenanceMonitor and maintain cleanliness across all areas of the campus throughout the day.Clean and sanitize classrooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, cafeterias, gymnasiums, and common areas.Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors; clean walls, windows, fixtures, and surfaces.Collect and dispose of trash across campus, including outdoor areas.Launder cleaning materials such as towels and mop heads.Daily Operations SupportPrepare and maintain cleaning supplies and equipment for daily use.Support cafeteria setup, events, and daily campus operations as needed.Perform minor maintenance tasks such as light bulb replacement and filter changes.Maintain and service custodial equipment, including vacuums, floor buffers, and other tools.Apply wax or sealers to floors as directed by campus leadership.Safety & ComplianceFollow all chemical handling guidelines, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and HAZMAT regulations.Ensure compliance with safety protocols to maintain a safe environment for students and staff.Assist with campus security procedures, including locking and unlocking doors and gates.Communication & CollaborationCommunicate supply needs to campus leadership and facility repair needs to the appropriate operations staff.Interact professionally with students, staff, and school leadership.Respond promptly to facility needs and support urgent requests as they arise.Perform additional duties as assigned to support campus operations.Qualifications & CompetenciesRequiredHigh school diploma or GEDMinimum of 2 years of custodial, facilities, or maintenance experience (school environment preferred)Familiarity with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and safe chemical handling practicesAbility to operate custodial equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, carpet extractors, and related toolsStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to respond promptly to campus needs and emergenciesAbility to successfully complete required Nevada state background checks and clearancesPreferredExperience working in a school or educational settingExperience supporting large facilities or high-traffic environmentsSkills & AttributesStrong attention to detail and commitment to cleanlinessAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesReliable, proactive, and responsive work ethicProfessional and respectful communication styleCompensation & BenefitsAMS offers a competitive compensation and benefits package designed to support long-term growth and stability.Competitive hourly pay based on experience401(k) retirement plan with employer contributionsMedical, dental, life, and disability insuranceOptional vision coveragePaid sick leave and personal timeOngoing training and professional development opportunitiesWhy Join AMSMission-driven work supporting underserved communitiesCollaborative and supportive school cultureOpportunities for growth within a rapidly expanding charter networkMeaningful role contributing to a safe and positive learning environmentJoin us to enjoy rewarding challenges and ongoing opportunities! #J-18808-Ljbffr
