Position Overview The Industrial Hygiene Technician supports the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Center of Excellence (COE) function by assisting in the identification, evaluation, and control of occupational health hazards within Hexion’s chemical manufacturing environment and Research and Development (R&D) laboratories. This role conducts exposure monitoring, maintains sampling and direct-reading equipment, collects and documents data, and supports regulatory compliance initiatives to help ensure a safe and healthy workplace for employees and contractors. Key Responsibilities Conduct personal and area air monitoring and sampling for process operators, maintenance personnel, laboratory employees, and contractors for chemical vapors, dusts, mists, and other airborne contaminants. (25%) Perform noise dosimetry, sound level measurements, heat stress monitoring, ventilation assessments, and ergonomic evaluations in manufacturing, warehouse, terminal, laboratory, and maintenance work areas. (15%) Utilize, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial hygiene sampling equipment and direct-reading instruments, including PID monitors, multi-gas meters, particulate monitors, sound level meters, and noise dosimeters.
