Key responsibilities:

• Room patients, obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and medication list.
• Obtain electrocardiograms.
• Prepare patient's for exams, and assist with in office procedures.
• Performed electrocardiograms and other basic cardiac diagnostic tests as directed.
• Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and diagnostic testing.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Provide patient education on medications, lifestyle modifications, and follow-up care.
• Ensure exam rooms and equipment are properly cleaned and stocked.

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited medical assistant program.
• Current certification preferred.
• Experience in cardiology or internal medicine preferred.
• Proficiency with Athena EHR system.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Work environment:

Clinical outpatient cardiology setting requiring professionalism, description, and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
