Funds Attorney

Role Overview

Apply funds law expertise to help train and evaluate advanced AI systems used for real-world contract review. This part-time, remote contractor role focuses on improving how AI identifies legal risk, interprets contract language, and delivers precise, well-reasoned outputs for legal practitioners.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct simulated contract negotiations and contract redlining exercises.
Review and assess AI responses to contract scenarios, providing expert feedback to improve model performance and precision.
Develop objective evaluation frameworks and grading criteria for consistent, rigorous assessment of AI contract work.
Collaborate with product and research teams to refine training data, guidelines, and best practices for AI-enabled contract review.
Contribute legal judgment drawn from drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and redlining technology-related agreements.
Qualifications

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
At least 2 years of experience in the funds department of a corporate law firm.
Experience with fund management, fund formation, contract redlining, and contract negotiations.
Familiarity with standard M&A agreements, including LPAs, subscription agreements, and side letters.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and strong analytical ability.
Ability to translate legal expertise into actionable feedback for AI systems.
Commitment to innovation at the intersection of law and technology, with experience working on cross-disciplinary teams in fast-paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience with AI, legal technology, or training initiatives.
Work Terms

Remote, part-time independent contractor engagement.
Work is completed on a task basis. Each task has an average handling time of approximately 3.5 hours and must meet project specifications for sign-off.
Compensation

$90 to $150 per hour effective rate, depending on the number of completed tasks that are successfully signed off.
Compensation is paid per completed task.
