Engineering Aide Specialist (Electrical)-Entry Level/Hourly

Lockheed Martin Space is looking for an Engineering Aide in Sunnyvale, CA. In this role you will: Responsibilities Provide technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks. Assist engineers in collaboration with subsystem, survivability, environmental, and other specialty engineers to develop unique cables for various space products. Produce engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics). Perform detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas; preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided in such areas as trajectory adequacy, model dimensional consistency; and quantitative judgments concerning technical data. May conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis. Perform software engineering to include design, development, and software/hardware integration. Basic Qualifications Associates degree in a STEM related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education, and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned technical/para-engineering tasks. Completed coursework towards a related degree may be considered. Military experience and/or greater than 5 years Electrical Technician experience will also be considered. Eligibility and willingness to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance – US Citizenship required. Desired Skills Collate with subsystems, survivability, environmental, and other specialty engineers to develop unique cables for various space products. Understanding of electronic circuit design principles, including analog and digital circuits. Self‑starter able to perform tasks with minimal supervision. Desire to learn Zuken E3 (schematic drafting) and/or Creo (3D modeling) for cable/harness design. Security Clearance Statement This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level Secret Pay Rate Annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, New York (excluding most metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington, and Washington DC: \$61,200 – \$107,985. In major metropolitan areas in those states: \$70,400 – \$117,415.
