- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients spanning pediatric to geriatric demographics, utilizing a variety of assessment tools.
- Create tailored treatment strategies aimed at fulfilling both immediate and ongoing communication and swallowing objectives.
- Deliver focused speech therapy sessions targeting language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team including occupational and physical therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families, empowering them to continue progress outside of the clinical environment.
- Occasionally participate in inpatient therapy evaluations, assuring seamless transitions for patients in their recovery.
- Document all practices thoroughly, complying with all relevant guidelines and standards.
- Keep abreast of evolving practices in the field through ongoing education and collaborative efforts with peers.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a respected institution.
- Supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) completion, pending ASHA certification where applicable.
- Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
- Mandatory Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
- Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based approaches with a keen awareness of speech, language, and swallowing disorders across different age groups.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and healthcare colleagues.
