PRN Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be available for medication administration in a residential setting on Saturday and/or Sunday mornings and evenings. The nurse can also sign up to cover shifts for full-time nurses that are on vacation or using sick time. The nurse can choose which med pass shifts they are available to cover.

The nurse would be responsible for the direction of medical care for clients including required nursing services and medication administration, all within the scope permitted by their licensing. This position may be part of ratio during business hours as needed for youth/staff ratio compliance and in ratio for emergency/crisis situations as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications:

• Graduation from appropriate program of accredited licensed practical nursing.
• Previous experience with adolescents in a residential setting preferred
• Criminal background check, drug test, physical and TB test are required prior to hire.

Schedule/Availability:

An ideal candidate would be available to come to campus to conduct medication administration on weekends. The nurse chooses which med pass shifts they can cover each month. The nurse may pick up additional hours by covering lunch breaks for direct care staff before or after med pass. An ideal candidate will live near campus. The nurse can also sign up to cover full shifts for nurses that are on vacation or out sick.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to physically participate in HWC restraint training as required
• Must be able to perform First Aid/CPR processes
• Ability to communicate clearly in English both written and verbal
• Good visual and audio capabilities
• Sit or stand for extended periods
• Walk, run, bend, stoop, and/or squat, reach, climb steps or stairs as needed
• PC/Keyboarding abilities
