Assistant General Counsel

Assistant General Counsel Full Time – Mills Building, El Paso, TX, USA Position Summary Franklin Mountain Investments LLC seeks an Assistant General Counsel to provide legal support to the Chief Legal Officer and executive leadership. This role serves the company and its affiliates, with a strong emphasis on corporate transactions, real estate transactions and litigation. Key Responsibilities Work directly with the Chief Legal Officer and executive team on legal matters affecting business operations, transactions, and regulatory compliance. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including those related to real estate acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing. Manage and oversee litigation and dispute resolution, including real estate and commercial matters. Conduct legal and business research; deliver clear, actionable guidance on complex legal issues. Support corporate governance, acquisitions, and special projects as assigned. Monitor, analyze, and respond to legislative and regulatory developments related to the company’s business activities. Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution. Active license to practice law in Texas. Minimum five years of corporate law experience, including substantial work in real estate, corporate matters and litigation; law firm or in-house experience preferred. Experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating complex agreements. Experience in managing outside counsel is preferred. Experience in contract, corporate, licensing, real estate law, and litigation. High integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Strategic thinker and collaborative team player. Proven ability to manage time and meet deadlines. Physical Requirements Prolonged desk and computer work. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
