Medical AssistantLocation: Phoenix, AZ Shifts: 3 x 12-hour shifts weekly (Nights) Commitment: Minimum 13 Weeks Openings: 2 am and 1 pmPay Rates:Local: $22/hr.Travel with housing: $18/hr.Travel no housing: $16/hr. Responsible for accurate documentation in the electronic health record. Prepares patients for examination and treatment, obtains patient histories, vital signs, and chief complaints. Supports clinical and administrative workflows within a correctional health setting.Responsibilities and DutiesPrepare patients for exams, treatments, and proceduresObtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaintsAdminister injections, immunizations, and TB skin tests per protocolPerform venipuncture and basic lab testingTranscribe provider orders and coordinate follow-up appointmentsMaintain exam room readiness and supply inventoryComplete accurate and timely documentation in EHR systemsSupport front and back office operations including scheduling, scanning, and filingUtilize Microsoft Office for documentation, tracking, and communicationSupporting Documentation and QualificationsHigh school diploma or GEDCertificate of completion from an accredited Medical Assistant program (per A.R.S. §32-1456 or applicable exceptions)Current completed fit testing for N95 respiratorsCurrent First Aid CertificationMinimum one year of recent experience as a Medical Assistant or CHTStrong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Step #1 – Security and Background Clearance Step #2 – Health and Immunization Requirements Step #3 – Physical and Workplace Requirements Step #4 – Additional RequirementsIf you meet the above requirements and are ready to commit to a 13-week assignment in a correctional health setting, forward your current resume immediately.
