Job Summary:
Gastroenterology Laboratory (GI LAB) Endo Nurse position located in Alexandria, VA. This role involves supporting endoscopy procedures, including preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care, primarily supporting Electroconvulsive therapy sessions using the EPIC electronic medical record system. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Shift: 10 hours per day, with work hours from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Schedule: On call 24 hours a day, 3 times a month (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM), with on-call rotations 2-3 times weekly starting at 5:00 PM to the following day at 6:30 or 7:30 AM depending on start time.
• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) license with at least 2 years of experience, BLS (American Heart Association) certification, ACLS certification preferred, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is a plus. Must have strong intravenous skills.
• Preferred Qualifications: PALS certification.
• Additional Information: No float requirements; weekend and holiday coverage handled via on-call schedule. One-week floor orientation provided. Scrubs to be navy blue pants and solid navy-blue or white tops, with maroon scrubs also used. Epic access is required.
• Responsibilities: Supporting endoscopy procedures, documentation using the EPIC system, and participating in Electroconvulsive therapy sessions.
• Schedule and Hours: 40 hours per week, with flexible on-call and weekend coverage.
