FORK LIFT OPERATOR

We are seeking a safety-conscious and reliable Forklift Operator to join our logistics team. You will be responsible for the efficient movement of inventory, ensuring that our supply chain remains fluid while maintaining the highest standards of workplace safety. The ideal candidate is someone who views the forklift not just as a tool, but as a responsibility.

salary: $18 - $19 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM
education: No Degree Required

Responsibilities

The operator is the primary safety officer for their vehicle. Because forklifts are heavy, have rear-end swing, and limited visibility, the operator is responsible for:

• Yielding to Pedestrians: Always assuming pedestrians don't see you. You are responsible for stopping, even if they walk into your path.

• Maintaining "The Bubble": Keeping a safe distance (usually three forklift lengths) from other vehicles and keeping people away from a raised load.

• Communication: Using horns, lights, and eye contact to signal intent to ground workers.

• Floor Awareness: Identifying hazards like oil spills, loose gravel, or uneven dock plates that could cause a tip-over.
