The MEP Superintendent is responsible for overseeing day-to-day field execution of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems from installation through commissioning and turnover. This role ensures that all MEP work is properly coordinated, installed per project requirements, and aligned with QAQC and commissioning expectations. In mission-critical and hyperscale environments, the focus is on driving field productivity, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring systems are complete and ready for testing without delays or rework. 

• Oversee daily field execution of MEP systems across assigned areas or scopes 

• Coordinate subcontractors and trades to ensure alignment with project schedule and sequencing 

• Ensure installations meet approved drawings, specifications, and OEM requirements 

• Monitor field progress, identify constraints, and escalate issues impacting schedule or quality 

• Lead daily huddles and participate in coordination and planning meetings 

• Enforce safety standards and promote a strong safety culture on site 

• Work closely with QAQC and commissioning teams to ensure system readiness 

• Verify completion of inspections, checklists, and prerequisites prior to testing 

• Drive a zero-defect mindset by holding trades accountable for quality and completeness 

• Track and support resolution of NCRs within assigned scope 

• Support execution of functional and integrated systems testing 

• Maintain clear communication with General Superintendent, PMs, and field teams 

• Ensure assigned systems and areas are fully complete and ready for turnover 

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent field experience) 

• 7–10 years of experience in MEP construction with field supervision responsibilities 

• Experience in data centers, mission-critical, or large-scale commercial projects preferred 

• Experience coordinating with QAQC and commissioning teams through system turnover 

• Strong understanding of MEP systems and field installation practices 

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and submittals 

• Working knowledge of commissioning processes and system turnover requirements 

• Strong leadership and field coordination skills 

• Effective communication skills across trades, field teams, and project leadership 

• Ability to identify risks and constraints and escalate appropriately 

• Strong organizational and planning skills with a focus on execution 

• High attention to detail with a commitment to quality and accountability 

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments 

• Team-first mindset with a focus on collaboration and shared success
