Banquet Chef

Catering by Design is searching for a Banquet Chef to lead our dedicated team and craft unforgettable culinary experiences with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. What You’ll Do Assist the Executive Chef with supervision of all food preparation and support staff Be directly responsible for kitchen production as it relates to off-site catered events Supervise all kitchen operations as it relates to off‑site catered events Assist with overall coordination of all banquet and outlet food production, as needed Participate in the development of catering menus, recipe cards, cost cards, plate presentations and photos Monitor all catering menus and the specifications Monitor safety and cleanliness of off‑site facilities used (ensure culinary space used is cleaned before leaving) What We’re Looking For Reliable Team‑focused Calm under pressure Willing to learn Proud of good food and a clean kitchen Able to follow directions and ask questions when needed Able to work well with a diverse group of people Schedule Open flexibility based on the number of events Benefits and Perks Hilton hotel travel discounts Health, dental, and vision benefits for full‑time employees after 60 days 401(k) with a 4% company match for full‑time employees A positive, locally owned work environment Opportunities to learn and grow Requirements Prior kitchen, cooking, or hospitality experience preferred Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time Ability to lift and carry items as needed Ability to work in a hot, busy kitchen Non‑slip shoes recommended Ability to pass a background check and pre‑employment drug test Requires walking, sitting, and standing to a significant degree, reaching, handling, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, talking, hearing, seeing, and smelling Lifting up to 100 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying or transporting of food, objects, or equipment weighing up to 75 lbs.
