Specialty Representative/Sr Specialty Representative - Primary Care - Bakersfield E, CA

Amgen seeks a Specialty or Senior Specialty Representative in the Bakersfield, California area to drive sales and clinical engagement for its pharmaceutical products. The role involves delivering product knowledge to medical professionals, managing territory accounts, and executing marketing strategies across oncology, inflammation, general medicine, and rare disease therapeutic areas.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clinical product knowledge and communicate benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate medication utilization
• Achieve territory sales targets through branded messaging, educational programs, and in-person and virtual engagement
• Develop and manage customer relationships, customize interactions based on needs, resolve reimbursement issues, and maintain contracts
• Analyze sales activity effectiveness, provide market feedback, and develop territory plans with District Manager
• Share best practices with colleagues and sustain passion for products while serving patient outcomes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, or Associate's degree with 4 years sales experience, or high school diploma with 6 years sales experience
• For Senior level: Bachelor's degree with 3 years sales/clinical healthcare experience, or Associate's degree with 6 years combined experience
• Pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry sales experience preferred
• Advanced relationship-building and sales outcome-focused influencing skills
• Knowledge of specialty disease areas including oncology, cardiology, inflammation, nephrology, dermatology, or related fields
• Local market knowledge and adaptability with sales planning, business acumen, and stakeholder relationship cultivation

Compensation: $89,880–$121,602 base
