This role involves working in a mixed acuity unit, providing care for patients with a range of cardiac conditions. The RN will work in a dynamic environment with access to advanced medical facilities.

Key Responsibilities of the RN - CVICU - Travel

• Provide one-on-one care for fresh heart patients and manage ICU and step-down status patients.
• Administer and titrate various drips such as Cardizem, Cordarone, and Nitroglycerin.
• Manage complex cardiac conditions including atrial fibrillation, NSTEMI, STEMI, and cardiac arrest.
• Operate and monitor advanced equipment including ventilators and arterial lines.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in unit-specific orientation and training.

Requirements of the RN - CVICU - Travel

• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications
• Experience with post-op open heart patients
• Proficiency in CRRT, ventricles, and hypothermia protocols
• Comfortable managing ventilators and arterial lines
• Preferable experience with IABP and Impella devices
