Back-End Developer

Salary: $78,000 - 108,000 per year Requirements:

• We need 3-6+ years of professional back-end web development experience, with production e-commerce experience preferred.
• We need strong PHP development skills.
• We need hands-on experience building back-end solutions in Magento 2/Adobe Commerce.
• We need solid SQL/MySQL expertise, including joins, query analysis, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• We need experience with XML configuration, GraphQL APIs, and REST APIs.
• We need working knowledge of Composer, Docker, and Git.
• We need practical JavaScript knowledge for troubleshooting and collaboration.
• We need strong debugging, production support, root-cause analysis, and communication skills.
• We value experience with NetSuite, Celigo or similar middleware, and other ERP, payment, loyalty, CMS, or marketing integrations.
• We value exposure to Adobe Commerce Cloud, CI/CD, Linux, AWS, GCP, Redis, Varnish, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, message queues, and Magento indexing or caching.
• We value experience handling large catalogs, inventory, pricing, promotions, checkout, order, fulfillment, and reporting workflows.
• We value familiarity with React, Next.js, headless commerce, GraphCommerce, PWA Studio, Hyva, or similar front-end frameworks.
• We value knowledge of e-commerce security, privacy, PCI, and secure coding practices.

• We build, maintain, and enhance Magento 2/Adobe Commerce back-end functionality using PHP.
• We develop custom modules, services, cron jobs, integrations, API endpoints, and automated business workflows.
• We work with SQL/MySQL to troubleshoot data, improve queries, support reporting, and preserve data integrity.
• We apply XML, dependency injection, events/observers, plugins, and standard Magento development patterns.
• We create and support GraphQL and REST APIs that connect Magento with NetSuite, middleware, payment, loyalty, CMS, marketing, and operational systems.
• We manage PHP dependencies with Composer and development environments with Docker.
• We use Git, pull requests, code review, testing, and deployment processes to deliver dependable changes.
• We troubleshoot production issues across the application, database, API, and integration layers and perform root-cause analysis.
• We improve caching, indexing, query efficiency, API performance, platform reliability, and overall e-commerce performance.
• We use working JavaScript knowledge to diagnose storefront behavior and collaborate with front-end developers.
• We partner with IT and business teams to translate operational needs into practical, maintainable technical solutions.

This is a full-time, on-site role at our Easton headquarters, with core hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and occasional flexibility needed for deployments, urgent production issues, or critical deadlines. A hybrid arrangement may be considered for a highly qualified candidate after discussion, but this position is not fully remote.
