About the Internship Our hospital Executive Internship provides meaningful mentorship and real-world exposure to the challenges and rewards of hospital administration. Interns gain hands-on experience supporting strategic, operational, and quality initiatives within the hospital environment. Interns will participate in leadership meetings, collaborate with key hospital committees, and contribute to performance improvement work throughout the facility.

Completing this internship gives students a significant competitive advantage when applying for the Executive Fellowship. Through the internship, students gain:

• Direct exposure to Select Medical hospital operations
• Established relationships with hospital leadership
• A strong understanding of organizational goals and performance priorities

• Operational and Quality Improvement Projects
• Business Development
• Employee Engagement
• Food Nutrition Services
• Environmental Services
• Infection Control
• Patient Experience
• Emergency Management Planning

Leadership Exposure Includes Participation In:

• Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI)
• Quality Improvement Council (QIC)
• Medical Executive Committee (MEC)
• Joint Venture Partnership and Joint Quality and Integration Committee
• Governing Board meetings

Must be currently enrolled in an MHA or MBA program.

Internship opportunities are run in 3 month cycles.
