VITAS Healthcare
The Admissions RN is a registered nurse and key member of the Interdisciplinary Team responsible for presenting VITAS services to patients and families, facilitating appropriate admissions. Key duties include: Participating in the admissions process, including information gathering and form completion. Evaluating patients for hospice appropriateness through medical record reviews. Obtaining admission agreements from eligible patients and families. Building relationships with referral sources to ensure high-quality service. Maintaining clinical competence and developing internal relationships. Educating patients and families about hospice and palliative care. Qualifications include a current RN license, relevant healthcare experience, strong communication skills, and a preferred bachelor’s degree.
