This position offers an opportunity to make a substantial impact on individuals seeking to improve their relationship with alcohol through evidence-based therapeutic interventions. As part of our mission to foster healthier lifestyles, you will be a vital contributor to our supportive and recovery-focused environment.

About the Organization\n

Sunshine Community Psychiatric Services operates as an innovative online platform that specializes in transforming lives by helping individuals change their relationship with alcohol. Through our services, we connect members to a welcoming anonymous community, therapist-led support groups, and a variety of resources designed to empower individuals on their recovery journey. We tailor individualized treatment plans by connecting members seeking medical support with compassionate licensed physicians and specialized therapists, ensuring the care provided is both personal and effective.

\n

Founded on the owner's personal recovery journey, our organization is committed to delivering affordable, accessible, and scientifically proven care. We strive to celebrate every achievement in our clients' journeys toward a healthier relationship with alcohol.

Work Environment\n

This position is entirely remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home while maintaining a flexible schedule. Our telehealth facility enables mental health professionals to provide high-quality care without geographical constraints. You will have the tools and resources necessary to perform your duties effectively, thus ensuring you can focus on delivering optimal patient care rather than administrative tasks.

  • \n
  • Receive remuneration for any late cancellations or no-shows, giving you peace of mind regarding your schedule.
  • \n
  • Participate in annual continuing education units (CEUs) with costs covered by Sunshine Community Psychiatric Services.
  • \n
  • Engage with a dedicated administrative team that minimizes your paperwork and billing responsibilities.

  • \n
Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our client base primarily consists of individuals striving to redefine their relationship with alcohol. Many clients come to us seeking alternatives to traditional treatment modalities and may prefer moderation strategies instead of abstinence. Our counselors must employ a harm-reduction approach, recognizing the diverse needs and goals of all patients. Knowledge of various community recovery support options is essential, as many clients will reference and utilize groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Smart Recovery, and Moderation Management.

Qualifications\n
    \n
  • Current licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC in the state of California.
  • \n
  • Experience in therapeutic methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Management (CM), and Motivational Interviewing.
  • \n
  • Strong clinical engagement skills, with an emphasis on empathy and building rapport with clients.
  • \n
Preferred Experience\n
    \n
  • Understanding of harm-reduction models and techniques to effectively address clients' varying goals.
  • \n
  • Familiarity with community recovery support options and the ability to integrate them into treatment plans.
  • \n
  • Previous experience in telehealth settings is a plus, as it enhances the ability to communicate and connect with clients effectively in a virtual format.
  • \n
Compensation and Benefits\n

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 120,000 to USD 140,000 annually, complemented by a robust benefits package. This includes comprehensive health insurance, a retirement plan, and generous paid time off designed to support your work-life balance. Additionally, you will have access to professional development opportunities and resources for continuing education to facilitate ongoing growth in your career.
