About the Role

The Company is in search of a Divisional Vice President of Medicine to spearhead the medical operations strategy for its West Division. The successful candidate will be a dynamic and influential veterinary medical leader, responsible for overseeing and directing clinical quality, medical excellence, team-based care, and clinical productivity in partnership with the Divisional Vice President of Operations. This role involves leading and developing group and local hospital medical directors, ensuring the creation of a talent pipeline for medical leadership, and maintaining high standards of patient safety. The ideal candidate will have a passion for elevating the standard of care, developing and coaching medical leaders, and using critical thinking and problem-solving skills to optimize clinical teams while sustaining business performance. Candidates for the Divisional Vice President of Medicine position at the company should have a Bachelor’s Degree, DVM, and successful completion of a 1-year rotating internship, with at least 10 years of clinical practice as an emergency or board-certified specialty clinician. A minimum of 5 years in a leadership role with oversight of multiple hospitals and/or revenues exceeding $100MM is required. The role demands a leader with a strong business acumen, the ability to make sound decisions, and a proven track record in problem-solving. The DVPM will be expected to interact with all levels of the organization, contribute to the development of practice guidelines, and maintain current knowledge of the regional veterinary services market. The position is pivotal in ensuring the company's mission of enriching lives through remarkable care for pets is upheld and that the vision of transforming the delivery of veterinary care is realized.
