Senior Accountant

Job Summary This position will support the Business and Plant Controller and be involved with the monthly close process including balance sheet account reconciliations. This position will also be responsible for account analysis and the preparation of internal reports including KPIs. Additionally, ad hoc projects will be assigned that provide exposure to all aspects of the Finance department. This position has a broad role that can be impacted by the person's preferences and proven abilities. A successful candidate will be a high-energy person with a desire to learn and grow. The person must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently with the organization. Responsibilities: General closing responsibilities with validation of balance sheet accounts, including monthly reconciliations Preparation of standard reports (weekly/monthly) including forecasts and variance analysis for company packages Document and account for project estimates in coordination with operations Recording of journal entries Maintain fixed assets and record depreciation Support accounting and finance management team with ad hoc assignments Provide year end audit support Assist with inventory physical observations Assist with documenting and improving internal control processes Performs other duties as assigned Experience and Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting as a minimum, but a Master's Degree in Accounting a plus Minimum 3 year experience in industry, preferably a manufacturing environment or 3-5 years of Public accounting experience from large firm Knowledge of Accounting systems and principles Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Experience with an integrated ERP required Percentage-of-completion accounting experience preferred CPA a positive What we offer is more than just a job… An opportunity to be part of a truly innovative and fast-growing international company.
