Logistics Specialist ILocation: 1000 New Horizons Way- Vacaville CA 95688 Contract: 12+ Months - possibility for extension or FTE conversion Pay Rate: $25/hr + Benefits Shift: Day Shift 6AM-3PM PSTPosition SummaryThe Logistics Specialist I is responsible for executing material logistics activities within a cGMP-regulated environment. This role supports manufacturing operations through the receiving, sampling, storage, distribution, transfer, weighing, and kitting of materials. The position also performs inventory management, documentation, hazardous material handling and shipping, and maintains compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements while ensuring a clean and organized work environment.Key ResponsibilitiesUtilize business and support systems including SAP, LIMS, PQS, DCS, POMS, and related systems.Safely operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, drum lifters, and drum conditioners.Identify process issues and escalate concerns appropriately to ensure timely resolution.Complete all required training and certifications and comply with company policies and procedures.Communicate effectively and collaborate professionally with team members and cross-functional partners.Follow all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) requirements and promptly report incidents, near misses, and safety concerns.Prepare raw materials and components for shipment to manufacturing sites.Perform weighing and kitting of direct materials for manufacturing operations.Wash and clean equipment and parts using designated cleaning equipment and procedures.Manage inventory, ordering, storage, and movement of raw materials and supplies using material handling and RF scanning equipment.Maintain accurate inventory records and required documentation.Conduct inventory checks and cycle counts to support inventory accuracy goals.Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean, organized, and inspection-ready condition.Perform additional material handling duties as assigned.Required ExperienceEntry-level position requiring 0-4 years of experienceExperience in GMP/GDP warehouse environments preferredEnglish (Required)Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong attention to detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.Basic computer skills and ability to work within electronic systems.Experience working with validated systems preferred.Warehouse and inventory management experience preferred.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Ability to operate powered industrial equipment, including forklifts, preferred.Strong collaboration and communication skills.Ability to work in a highly cooperative team environment.Core CompetenciesAgility: Supports continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives.Business Acumen: Understands how individual actions impact business performance.Collaboration: Treats coworkers and customers professionally and respectfully.Customer Focus: Understands and responds to customer needs.Driving Results: Maintains quality standards while achieving performance objectives.Leadership: Demonstrates reliability and accountability as a team member.Key StakeholdersManufacturingQualityPlanningQuality ResponsibilitiesAdhere to all cGMP requirements, site procedures, and standard operating procedures.Maintain required training and qualification records.Report regulatory concerns, process deviations, product defects, and quality issues in a timely manner.Safety ResponsibilitiesFollow all site EHS policies, procedures, risk assessments, and training requirements.Promote a safe working environment and immediately report hazards, incidents, and injuries.Comply with all company and site safety standards.Working ConditionsWork EnvironmentManufacturing/Production Floor EnvironmentPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 40 pounds.Ability to stand for extended periods of time.Ability to safely perform material handling activities and operate warehouse equipment.Work ScheduleRegular business hoursTravelNone requiredSupervisionWorks under close supervision with duties assigned according to specified procedures and detailed instructions.
