Plant Reliability Technician (Hydraulic & Pneumatic Systems)

Pay you can count on: $24–$29/hour, paid weekly. Plus: $4/hour shift differential for second shift.

Your time: Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM–2:00 AM, with weekend overtime opportunities (Fri–Sun).

Mission

Safeguard the reliability of CNC cells, press brakes, conveyors, and auxiliary systems by pairing precise mechanical work with code-compliant electrical maintenance. Your work reduces downtime, elevates product quality, and strengthens our safety culture.

What success looks like

• Proactive PMs completed on time with clear documentation.
• Electrical installs and repairs that meet all applicable codes and plant standards.
• Accurate balancing and alignment leading to lower vibration and extended asset life.
• Safe, well-planned rigging and equipment moves.
• Fabricated components that fit first-time from cold-rolled steel, stainless, plate, and structural stock.

Your responsibilities

• Own safety—follow and reinforce safety and quality procedures.
• Repair and maintain industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical/electronic wiring, machinery, apparatus, and fixtures.
• Troubleshoot systems and components using test gear and hand tools.
• Connect wiring to circuit breakers, transformers, and related components.
• Calculate, lay out/draw, balance, and precision-align equipment.
• Plan and execute rigging activities; perform additional safety-related and miscellaneous maintenance tasks.
• Maintain electrical equipment to local/state/federal codes; handle miscellaneous electrical functions as assigned.

Capabilities you bring

• 2+ years’ experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting.
• Troubleshooting across CNC, advanced processing equipment, material handling systems, press brakes, lifting devices, and sawing equipment.
• Mechanical know-how; predictive and preventive maintenance; pipefitting familiarity.
• Laser alignment and vibration monitoring (required).
• Oxy-acetylene torch and welding skills; welding certification (required).
• VFD programming and PLC troubleshooting.
• Fluent and safe use of hand and power tools; competent with ohmmeters, voltmeters, oscilloscopes for continuity and safety verification.
• Comfort at heights and from ladders/scaffolds/roofs performing electrical tasks.
• Safe operation of forklifts and high lifts.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and broader mechanical systems.
• Ability to speak, write, and comprehend conversational English.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical realities

• Lift 20–50 lbs repetitively.
• Extended periods of bending, sitting, standing, climbing, twisting, and stooping.
• Walk 2–5 miles per shift.
• 20/30 vision with corrective lenses; precise hand/finger coordination.

Work conditions include indoor/outdoor environments with temperature swings, high noise, and vibration. You may encounter:

• Moving mechanical parts, electrical current, heights (scaffolding), high heat, and chemicals
• Fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or areas with poor ventilation
• Oils and cutting fluids (air/skin exposure)
