Medical Laboratory Technician

Labcorp seeks a Medical Laboratory Technician for an OB/GYN clinic in Arlington, Texas. The role involves performing laboratory testing procedures, operating instrumentation, evaluating specimen quality, and maintaining quality control in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess specimen acceptability using established criteria and protocols
• Execute routine and complex technical procedures following departmental standards
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation
• Perform preventative maintenance and quality control documentation
• Report accurate test results in timely manner for patient care

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Chemical, Biological Science, or Clinical Laboratory Science
• Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
• Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• ASCP or AMT certification (preferred)
• Six months or more clinical laboratory testing experience (preferred)
