BUSINESS ANALYST

Retail Operations AnalystWe are seeking a detail-oriented Retail Operations Analyst to support day-to-day retail operations, workflow management, exception handling, and payment reconciliation activities. The Analyst will monitor and execute operational workflows, resolve medium to complex exceptions, and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently met for internal and external customers. The successful candidate will become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in assigned business functions, with a primary focus on reconciling utility payments with customer invoicing. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively. An Accounting background is preferred.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and execute daily workflow activities within Retail Operations.Perform payment and invoice reconciliation, with a focus on utility payments.Research, analyze, and resolve medium to complex operational exceptions.Ensure assigned activities meet established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned business processes and functions.Identify discrepancies and investigate root causes to support timely resolution.Collaborate with team members, project teams, Information Technology, and cross-functional business groups.Support process improvements and changing business requirements.Maintain accurate records and documentation related to operational activities.Provide positive and professional service to internal and external stakeholders.Adapt quickly to changes in processes, systems, and business requirements.Manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and productivity.Take initiative and proactively identify and address operational issues.Required QualificationsExperience in Retail Operations, Business Operations, Accounting, Payment Processing, or a related field.Experience working with CRM systems.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Intermediate to advanced analytical and critical-thinking skills.Demonstrated experience with issue resolution and problem-solving.Strong time management and prioritization skills.Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team.Ability to adapt to changing processes, systems, and business requirements.Positive attitude with a strong commitment to customer service.Preferred QualificationsExperience with EDI (Electronic Data Interchange).Background in Accounting or Finance.Experience with payment reconciliation.Experience with SQL is preferred but not required.Experience handling exceptions within high-volume operational environments.Work Schedule & EnvironmentFull-Time positionMonday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PMHybrid work arrangement, with at least 1 day per week in the officeRemote work requires a professional home-office environment with limited distractions.Candidates working remotely should have:At least two monitorsKeyboard and mouseHeadsetWebcamReliable workspace suitable for business operationsThe ideal candidate is an analytical and organized professional who enjoys investigating discrepancies, reconciling payments, resolving operational issues, and supporting customers.
