LVN - Level II - Fontana - Pediatrics - Call-in/On-Call (Temporary) Provide nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse or physician/advanced practice provider, utilizing observational skills to assist medical staff and ensure optimal care within established policies, procedures, and standards. Essential Responsibilities Exhibit excellent customer relations with patients, visitors, providers, and co‑workers. Provide therapeutic patient care in accordance with orders and within scope of practice. Transcribe physician/advanced practice provider orders and communicate directly with a registered nurse to modify care plans. Administer medications accurately following provider or standing orders. Execute treatments such as urinary catheterizations, IV catheter placement, bladder irrigations, suctioning procedures, and other necessary equipment usage. Adhere to infection prevention and control policies and maintain high disinfectant standards. Perform patient assessments: temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, wound care, specimen collection, and documentation. Assist physicians or advanced practice providers with examinations and treatments, including instrument selection, support, restraint, and draping. Monitor and document patient condition, report significant findings, and initiate emergency procedures as necessary. Volunteer to start and maintain IV flow rate; notify nursing or provider of issues. Collect and process specimens per policy, procedures, and protocols. Provide teaching aligned with the plan of care and report learning needs and discharge barriers. Maintain cleanliness of nursing station, patient exam rooms, and equipment functionality. Perform back‑office workflows, including patient outreach, care gap closure, and nurse visits. Assist in ordering and stocking supplies and equipment, and accept verbal/telephone orders from providers. Administer pulse oximetry, humidification therapy, spirometer, oxygen therapy, and suctioning. Document care in Health Connect per policies and procedures. Assist in discharge coordination and perform orientation of new employees as assigned. Promote customer service by maintaining privacy and confidentiality per the Code of Conduct. Additional Requirements Work multiple locations: Redlands, Fontana, or Victorville. Temporary position for approximately 6 months. Basic Qualifications Minimum 12 months LVN direct patient care experience within the last 3 years. High School Diploma or GED. California Vocational Nurse License. Basic Life Support certification. Preferred Qualifications IV Certification. Blood Withdrawal Certification.
