Associate Director, Oncology Key Accounts - Texas

Merck seeks an Associate Director for Oncology Key Accounts in Texas to serve as the primary contact for large oncology group practices and integrated delivery networks. This field-based role focuses on building customer relationships, driving appropriate product utilization, and supporting patient outcomes across assigned accounts in the state.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact and strategic account lead for large oncology group practices and integrated delivery networks in Texas
• Develop and execute account plans utilizing data analytics to identify opportunities and maximize appropriate product utilization
• Build and maintain trust-based relationships with key decision makers, stakeholders, and influencers to understand their objectives
• Lead clinical alignment efforts by communicating product portfolio information and aligning company resources with customer quality initiatives
• Coordinate across internal teams to ensure contract execution, address local requests, and communicate customer needs effectively

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years sales experience, or high school diploma with 10+ years equivalent professional experience
• Minimum 2 years healthcare, life sciences, sales, account management, or managed care experience
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel approximately 50%
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with senior healthcare executives and key opinion leaders
• Strong financial acumen with value proposition communication and negotiation skills
• Comprehensive understanding of healthcare ecosystem and excellent interpersonal communication abilities
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills in matrix organizations
