Join a Fortune 500 team that invests in your growth, values your contributions, and challenges you to make a lasting impact every day.As an Engineer Sr / Staff – Controls Engineering, you will lead the design, integration, and commissioning of control systems supporting power generation, battery energy storage (BESS), and other energy infrastructure projects.Working across the full project lifecycle, you'll partner with EPC contractors, OEMs, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver safe, reliable, and efficient plant control solutions.What You'll DoLead the design and integration of plant-wide control systems, including:Balance of Plant (BOP)Generator and turbine controlsPower Management Systems (PMS)Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)Develop and review control narratives, system logic, cause-and-effect matrices, and network architectures.Provide technical direction to control system integrators, vendors, and OEM partners.Support FEED, detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning, startup, and operations.Troubleshoot, test, and optimize control systems to improve reliability and performance.Lead design reviews, Management of Change (MOC), and system implementation activities.Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and engineering standards.Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and operations teams to deliver integrated plant solutions.What You'll BringStaff:Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering field from an ABET accredited college or university and twelve (12) - (15) fifteen years engineering experience in natural gas, data centers or related industryPreferred: PE LicensePreferred: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET accredited college or universitySenior:Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering field from an ABET accredited college or university and eight (8) years engineering experience in natural gas, data centers or related industry Preferred: PE LicensePreferred: Master’s degree in electrical engineering Technical ExperiencePLC, DCS, HMI, and SCADA systemsControl system programming, configuration, and troubleshootingAllen-Bradley / FactoryTalk and AVEVA (Wonderware)Power system controls and SEL applicationsIndustrial networking and OT/IT integrationOPC UA, DNP3, and IEC 61850 communicationsP&IDs, instrumentation, and control system commissioningLarge capital projects and EPC environmentsTravelApproximately 25%, with increased travel during commissioning and startup activities.Why You'll Love This RoleYou'll help deliver the next generation of power and energy infrastructure by defining control system architectures, solving complex integration challenges, and bringing critical facilities online safely and efficiently.Why Houston?
