TheChemistry DepartmentatWesleyan University invites applications for an open-ranktenure-trackProfessor of Chemistrypositioninany of the areasencompassed byexperimentalphysical,computationalphysical,orinorganicchemistry,withan expected startdate of July 1, 2027. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a vibrant, externally funded research program involving bothgraduateandundergraduate researchers.Candidates shouldalsodemonstratepotential for excellence in teachingatboththeundergraduate and graduate levels. Special considerationwill be given to candidatescapable ofteachingcoursesinbothintroductory and advancedtopics ofphysicalchemistryor inorganic chemistry for both undergraduate and graduate student populations.Additionalduties include advising and mentoringstudents andparticipatingin faculty governance at the departmental and university level.Candidates who have demonstrated success in working with diverse populations and whose research could contribute to Wesleyan’s interdisciplinary programs(including,but not limited to,theCollege of theEnvironment,theCollege of Integrative Sciences,andtheCollege of Design and EngineeringStudies)are especially encouraged to apply.
