How You'll Make a Difference

As a On-Highway Diesel Technician - Heavy-Duty Truck & Engine, you'll be the trusted expert customers rely on to keep their material handling equipment running safely and reliably. Your work will prevent downtime, protect people, and keep operations moving-all while representing Briggs with professionalism and pride.


What You'll Do

• Diagnose, repair, and rebuild heavy equipment, including engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, brakes, steering, and drive systems-both in the field and in the shop.
  
  

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and failure analysis to ensure equipment meets manufacturer and safety standards.
  
  

• Work safely every day by following Briggs, OSHA, DOT, and customer safety requirements-and helping lead a Safety First culture.
  
  

• Document work accurately, manage parts and tools, and maintain a clean, safe company service vehicle.
  
  

What You'll Bring

• 3+ years of experience repairing industrial equipment, with strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  
  

• High school diploma or GED (trade school, certifications, welding/fabrication experience a plus).
  
  

• Solid communication and customer service skills-you represent Briggs wherever you go.
  
  

• A valid driver's license, your own tools, and the ability to work on-call and travel daily to customer sites.
