Maintenance Mechanic - 2nd Shift

Maintenance TechnicianPerform a variety of tasks related to the repair, preventive maintenance and improved performance of Distribution Center equipment and hardwarePerform necessary equipment adjustments, repairs, modifications or preventive maintenance on variety of conveyor systems and powered material handling equipmentPerform building maintenance repair to various systems including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire safety, and other facility related equipmentObserve and/or test the adjustments, repairs or modifications to all Distribution Center equipment to ensure its safe operationPerform required tasks in accordance with applicable Standard Operating Procedures, rules, and safety proceduresMaintain work orders, PMs and inventory tracking via spreadsheets, data bases or maintenance softwareRepair dock doors and perform rack installations as neededChange and/or maintain batteries on material handling equipmentMaintain spare parts inventory, order replacements, and prepare routine updates to maintenance records and reportsHigh School Diploma or equivalentTechnical/Trade School certificate, preferably in facility maintenance or related areas; any suitable combination of education and experience will be consideredExperience with modern powered conveyor systems, fork truck equipment, and computer-based maintenance systems is requiredProficient in electro mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, PLC controllers, welding (MIG and ARC) and interpreting blueprintsMinimum of 2 years of distribution or manufacturing maintenance experience with mechanical and industrial skills experience in HVACAbility and flexibility to work alternate shifts as requiredAbility to take initiative to correct issues without direction, offer solutions to problems and support a team effortAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and have a strong sense of urgency to meet established deadlinesMust be able to lift 50 to 75 pounds continuously throughout the working shiftMust be capable of sitting, standing, and/or walking for extended periods of timeMust be able to operate fixed and motorized material handling equipmentMust be able to adequately assess surroundings and be aware of moving equipmentRequired to work in a physical environment that is subject to temperature extremes, movement of mobile and fixed equipment that require detailed hand movements and coordination, possible exposure to hazardous products, dust and other conditions associated with a warehouse operationAt Kontoor, we offer a comprehensive benefit package to fit your lifestyle.
