Clean-Up / Cabinet Shop Helper
Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Clean-Up / Cabinet Shop Helper position in Portland, OR. Our client is a commercial cabinet shop looking for a dependable, hardworking individual to assist with shop clean-up and basic cabinet-making duties. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and wants to gain experience in a cabinet shop and manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Sweep, vacuum, and dust shop and production areas to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Empty trash and recycling containers throughout the facility.
Clean lunchrooms, restrooms, office spaces, and other common areas.
Pick up and organize off-fall and scrap materials around shop equipment.
Assist with moving materials and products to and from pallets, dollies, and carts.
Support cabinet shop employees with basic helper duties as needed.
Maintain organized work areas and help ensure walkways and production areas remain free of debris.
Follow all company safety procedures while working around shop equipment and materials.
Assist with additional general labor and clean-up duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a cabinet shop, woodworking, manufacturing, warehouse, or general labor environment is a plus but not required.
Ability to perform physical work, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
Comfortable working around manufacturing and woodworking equipment.
Dependable with a strong work ethic and willingness to help wherever needed.
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and workplace safety.
