Job Description Phlebotomist II - Riverside, CA Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with rotational weekends. Pay Range $24.30 - $28.90 per hour. Salary offers are based on relevant skills, experience, education, and certifications. Successful candidates may be eligible for annual performance bonus compensation. Responsibilities Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams. Administer oral solutions according to established training. Research test/client information and confirm all written and electronic orders using lab technology systems and approved tools. Accurately navigate a computer and enter data, a requirement for success in this role. Obtain identification and enter billing information; collect payments when required, following corporate policies. Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport as required by test order. Perform all non‑patient facing duties, including inventory, stocking supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, and utilizing email as appropriate. Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures. Assist with compiling and submitting statistics and data when required. Maintain all appropriate phlebotomy logs in a timely manner, such as maintenance logs and temperature logs. Complete online and in‑person training courses promptly. Qualifications Three years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections. Keyboard/data entry experience. Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on‑call, and overtime. Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record, if applicable. High school diploma or equivalent. Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington. The position requires a state phlebotomy license (California requires a state license; NHA licenses are not accepted in CA, WA, NV). The position requires effective communication in English.
