High School Program Leader - Recreation (EPA Clubhouse)
East Palo Alto Clubhouse - East Palo Alto, CA
Position Overview: The High School Program Leader - Recreation is responsible for running the games room and shaping how high school youth experience the space when they walk in. This role will often be the first team member students see when they enter, so setting the right energy, warmth, and excitement is a core part of the job, not an afterthought. The games room is where a lot of relationship-building happens, and this role makes sure that time is intentional: this role will design and lead structured community-building activities that give students a reason to connect with each other and with staff while they're hanging out. This role will also support other high school program leaders to deliver effective learning environments for students in enrichment and academic spaces through additional teaching, facilitation and coordination. This role will provide valuable youth development and personal growth opportunities as you will have the chance to work with different grade bands (9-12th), learn to read a room and adjust on the fly, and build the kind of consistent, welcoming culture that keeps youth coming back.
This role is for those who are available to work 5 days a week during the school year at East Palo Alto Clubhouse in East Palo Alto, CA and reports to the Program Director. Drawing upon best practices in youth development, you'll turn unstructured downtime into moments that build belonging, life skills, and trust.

- Support ongoing recruitment and retention efforts with Community Liaison
- Communicate with parents/guardians, school staff, and BGCP leadership
