Phlebotomist Floater

Job Summary Phlebotomist Float – Houma, LA. Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, scheduled hours vary between 6:00am-6:00pm with rotating Saturdays. Full COVID‑19 vaccination required with proof of vaccination or accommodation. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information. Process billing information and collect payments when necessary. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Required Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record with reliable transportation. Minimum 21 years of age. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Flexible to work overtime as needed. Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test. Preferred Qualifications 3 or more years of phlebotomy experience. Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Additional Job Standards In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency is required. Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test. Employees scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are eligible to participate only in the 401(k) Plan. Employees with a 7 on/7 off schedule receive all benefits except PTO or FTO. Float Incentive: Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement. Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
