Respiratory Therapist – Peoria, IL
Direct Hire | Full-Time | Night Shift

Respiratory Therapists provide high-quality, compassionate cardiopulmonary care to patients across a variety of acute care settings. In this fast-paced, collaborative environment, you will assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders, working alongside physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Responsibilities include administering respiratory therapies, managing oxygen delivery systems, operating ventilators, responding to emergency situations, and delivering evidence-based care to patients with both routine and critical respiratory needs.

Position Overview

• Permanent, full-time role
• 36 hours per week
• Night shift
• Acute care hospital setting

Compensation & Incentives

• Salary range: $31.49 – $37.05/hour
• $15,000 sign-on bonus with a 2-year commitment
• $25,000 sign-on bonus with a 3-year commitment
• Relocation assistance:
  • Up to $6,000 for in-state moves
  • Up to $12,000 for out-of-state moves
• Comprehensive benefits package

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in an acute care setting
• Current Illinois Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential verification through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• ACLS, PALS, and NRP may be required based on assigned department
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently and assist with up to 100 lbs
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient assessment skills
