In this role, you will trim trees and hedges, maintain exterior of building, and keep parking lot and common areas (inside and out) clear of garbage and other debris. In addition, you will perform any tasks needed to insure the workplace is in good operating condition. Ultimately, your goal is to keep the facility’s surroundings beautiful and inviting. The ideal candidate is a hard worker with a strong understanding of the term "get the job done". Responsibilities Keeps building and property in clean and orderly condition. Performs routine maintenance activities. Performs heavy cleaning duties. Sweeps, mops, scrubs, or vacuums floors. Gathers and empties trash. Cleans windows, with soap and other cleansers using a power washer. Mixes cleaning solutions and chemicals in containers in preparation for cleaning, according to instructions. Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power machinery. Manages inventory of cleaning supplies. Notifies managers regarding the need for repairs or additions to building operating systems. And any other relative duties deemed necessary by management. Fertilize, mow, weed, and edge lawn areas Maintain garden areas, including pruning, weeding, and mulching Trim hedges, bushes, and trees Maintain clean pathways Ensure outdoor areas are protected from inclement weather Operate landscaping equipment Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures Operational Knowledge of LP powered Forklift. Experience in the use of hand tools, and power tools (drills, grinders, etc. ) Experience in the use of large power tools ( chainsaws, power washer, power blower, etc.) Ability to think through a problem to achieve a satisfactory result. Ability to stand, walk, and bend for many hours Ability to perform repetitive motion for long periods of time Knowledge of occupational hazards safety rules Communication skills Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders and work at heights. Qualifications Previous experience as a Groundskeeper, Landscaper, or Facilities Custodian position is preferred High school diploma/GED is preferred Familiarity with landscaping, general hand tools, powered equipment and machinery Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects, digging, and standing for long periods Ability to adhere to all safety rules and regulations #J-18808-Ljbffr
